It's been a while since I've posted any kind of update.
I've been keeping pretty busy I guess.
I thought I would share a few pictures with you.
I finally got my bedroom painted and most things decorated to my liking, but I still have a few more things to do so I haven't taken pictures yet. Hopefully I will be done with it soon! So I recently finished a DIY project that I have had on the back burner since last summer. It's a little table/nightstand for my bedroom. It was a super ugly thing when I bought it. It's probably a piece of junk to be honest but you would never know now, because it look so different!
I paid like $4 for it at a yard sale last summer with plans to redo it. I've had so many great ideas from Pinterest about up-cycling things. I finally got around to trying one out.
So here is the hideous thing I bought. Marlin thought I was pretty ridiculous when I came marching back with it lol.
Basically I took all the drawers out, then I bought a small sander from Walmart and sanded it down to make it rough. Then I nailed some of the boards back on that were coming off, and knocked out the sliders from the bottom drawers. I convinced Marlin to make the slats on the bottom for a shelf. He then added his manly touches, fixing a few more things here and there!
Then I painted it with the leftover paint from my bedroom. I put two coats of primer on and two coats of paint. I'm not sure if it needed that much, but it looks really nice now.
The knob on the top drawer is an old knob I painted with some acrylic paint from the craft store. I also used that paint to color the blue vase in the photo.
...yeah it's another Pinterest idea!
I really love it

Just a few pictures of Little Marlin. He is getting so big and he loves all the outdoor equipment. Tractors, lawn mower, four wheeler, you name it. He's always begging for rides!
I'm never quite sure how to end my post, but this is the end. Hope your days are wonderful and you enjoy each season of life before it passes too quickly!
