Another Handmade Creation
Another Purse I just finished!
So here is another purse like the one I posted about yesterday! I am trying to get a few things made to put in my Etsy shop before Marlin and I leave tomorrow morning to head to Pennsylvania. We are headed up north to spend a week with his family at the beach! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of that!
Anyhow, I think these purses are so cute, I really need to make one for myself! They're kind of my new obsession in sewing! :)

My Amazingly Wonderful Husband
My Handsome Man!
Good morning everyone! Today I just really wanted to share with everyone what is in my heart! I've been thinking a whole lot about my husband lately. I am so thankful for him! Maybe I shouldn't brag about him and be annoying like that, but I just love him so much, I'm so thankful for him and I think he his the best thing in the whole entire world! I can't imagine my life without him anymore! This coming Saturday Marlin and I will have been married for one year!!! I am extremely happy and proud to say it has been the best year of my entire 19 years living :) Marlin has been the most kind and caring husband I could ever want! He takes such good care of me, treats me with way more respect than I deserve and loves me unconditionally and....
....he doesn't get upset at me when I am acting bratty or mean! Instead he tries to make me feel better or talks to me and helps me to realize (without cutting me down) that I should not be acting so childish! I really love him! He's made me a better person and has made my life so much more wonderful!
When I was growing up I would watch lots of different people around me! I would look at how a husband and wife treated each other and how they raised their families. Sadly I never really saw anything that I appreciated or wanted in my marriage. Everyone just seemed like they were living life without much joy and without being romantic and in love. I started to believe that having a marriage that stayed romantic until the end and spending a love filled, joyful life wasn't really practical, or a reality. At least that's what I was beginning to believe. In the back of my mind I still knew what I wanted though. I wanted a wonderful marriage someday with a really amazing husband that would always love me and spend fun times with me and our family. I wanted someone that wasn't going to be tied up all the time to a job, or anything that would constantly take him away from me and his family. Maybe that sounds selfish. I don't know! But I do know that's what I wanted anyhow!
I read a book when I was 16 or so. It was called Preparing to be a Help Meet by Debi Pearl! What an amazing book! She told all young Christian girls to pray for their future husbands that God would raise them up into Godly men. I prayed a lot for my unknown future husband. I prayed that God would fill him with Wisdom, Righteousness, and Power and I also prayed for some specific things that I really desired my husband to be! I prayed for myself too, that God would create me to be the wife that my husband would someday need! Prayer makes such an impact on ones life. I think people really need to pray more because prayer is way more impacting than most people realize, but that's a whole different subject, right now I'm trying to tell you how awesome my husband is :) So as I'm sure you know by now God provided me with a husband WAY BETTER than I hoped, dreamed, and prayed for! God blessed me so much by giving Marlin to me for a husband! I feel humbled that he blessed me so richly. God must be pleased when his children pray to him. God always showers me with blessings me when I pray!
I have an AMAZING GOD as well as an amazing husband.
So if there are any young, single girls that read this, just know that praying for your future husband is extremely important, and praying for yourself as well is just as important! I'm not saying that I did everything perfectly I'm just saying that GOD worked everything out perfectly, so I want to praise Him and thank Him for my HUSBAND!

Garden Updates...
Today I went to pull weeds in the garden! Thankfully the weeds have slacked off a bit and aren't growing quite so fast and furiously! As I weeded around the squash and zucchini plants I came to the bean plants and was surprised to see we had some beans big enough to pick already! So I bent over squishing my baby belly and picked beans with sweat dripping down my face! I think gardening is a wonderful exercise! It's great to just be outside in the sunshine (even though its hot), and its great to sweat from working! I must say I do love our little garden!
Our chickens are still laying delicious, fat brown eggs that make it difficult to close the egg carton! And all my flowers are still growing and making this place look so lovely!
Here is our first little zucchini! I love frying fresh cut zucchini in butter with a little bit of salt and pepper! Marlin and I have fried zucchini (and squash) along with our meal at least 2 or 3 times a week! It's easy to make and we both love the way it taste!
I'm also excited about trying out the zucchini bread recipe that my mom used to make!!!

Braided Rag Rug
The newest item in my shop is this braided rag rug. I feel like it took me forever to make as I tore down sheets and braided all the strands and then sewed them together. This rug must have taken me at least 6 hours to make... or more. Anyway I love how the colors turned out! Charcoal, gray and white! It would go good just about anywhere in a house because of it's neutral colors!
I made another rug like this one a while back with lavender and white and I decided to keep it for myself! I really like it a lot and its so easy to throw in the washer whenever it gets dirty! Plus I get to admire the handiwork as well cuz I know it was difficult to make!
Father's Day with the Family
Sat evening all the Rowe family came to our house for a Father's day meal!
It was a lot of fun, and we had some delicious food. We grilled some chicken along with fresh corn on the cob from the Amish, mac and cheese, baked beans, mashed potatoes, and chips. It was so good! I ended up going back for seconds which I haven't been doing lately cuz i cant fit as much in at one time!
Then it was topped of with banana pudding, chewy brownies, and Oreo dessert!
I know my dad really enjoyed it!
Then later that evening we all cramed in our little cabin and played music for a while!
I'm glad my dad was able to come for a visit from New Mexico this Father's Day!

Little Zimmerman
Our little baby is a...
Yesterday Marlin and I went to get our first ultrasound! We sat and waited for a half hour before they finally called us. I was super excited to finally see this precious thing that's been kicking at me and to find out if it was a boy or girl! Marlin and I have both felt that it would be a boy. It just seemed natural! We've been calling it Georgy for the longest time now :) The baby seems really strong and it also seems like it eats so much! Just like daddy!!
The lady that did our ultrasound thought right away that it looked like a boy! Then she got a better shot of it to make sure! "Yup", she said "its a boy"! It was really obvious!!! I'll never forget how happy and proud Marlin looked when he heard it was a little boy :D
We got to hear the babies heart beat! What a sweet little sound! She told us the baby weighed 2lbs and 12oz! It is right on track at 29 weeks! My due date was calculated for August 25th!

I can barely wait to hold this sweet little guy! I hope he looks just like Marlin with curly hair and everything!
A life growing inside the womb completely amazes me and sets me in aw of God's marvelous creations!

Andrew & Hannah Schrock
Marlin and I were able to make it to Hannah Tate and Andrew Schrock's Wedding this past Saturday. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding on the Tate farm. Here are a few pictures that I snapped while we were there! I wish I could have gotten some better ones but it was rather hot and humid in Mississippi and all I wanted to do was sit in the shade and try to cool off! :) Hope you enjoy them!

Our Little Homestead
Our little homestead here is quite nice! When I was growing up I always told my mom I wanted to marry a farmer/homesteader guy! I always wanted to live simply, working in my garden, having our own animals, and living off our own hard work! Well, my dream, obviously, came true and it's actually been more rewarding and even better than I dreamed!!
Here is our little garden! It's not the biggest garden or the most perfect but I'm proud of it and I can hardly wait to get the first fruits!!
As of two days ago we finally got our laying hens! Marlin and I have wanted some for quite a while now! We have five peaceful layers that are already giving an abundance of delicious brown eggs!

I just want everybody to know that The Lord certainly blesses his children! His blessings are abundant and overflowing in our lives! I can't thank Him enough for everything he's freely given!
