Colorado Trip part 4 (of 4)

Well here is my last a and final post about our beloved Colorado trip!!! :D

I hope you all have enjoyed all the pictures as much as I have!

I know this is not the best picture of Marlin and he probably won't be too excited that I posted it, but I just think he look so cool with the pine trees and mountains in the background!!

It was early in the morning and the sunrise made everything look so soft and cheery!

Colorado Trip part 3 (of 4)

Finally getting around to my third post!

I've really enjoyed posting these pictures because I love revisiting these photos often and remembering the great time that we had out there!

These next pictures are from down in a valley in Tin Cup.

I don't know the name of this mine but it was one of the many in Tin Cup! It had several interesting pieces scattered all around!

 This is a horrible picture I know, but it is of a cow elk on a mountain side in the evening sun light!

Colorado Trip part 2

I hope you enjoyed the photos from my last post!

Here are pictures from Del Norte, and the San Luis Valley.

We saw this big guy on our way back from Creede in Del Norte. It was raining so the pictures are a tad bit grainy.

Cactus in the San Luis Valley.

Below is an Indian Paintbrush flower. When  I was a little girl we had tons of these flowers all around our property in the mountains of New Mexico! 

Oh and we had lots of cactus too, like the one in the picture above. I only remember one time stepping on a cactus.

On our way from Gunnison to Tin Cup where we met up with my brother Gabriel and camped for three days!

Tin Cup was a mining town and the elevation is 10,157 feet. It's peak population was near 2,000 but now there are only a few that live there year around. There are lots of old buildings and old minds in Tin Cup.

The next morning we got up and made a tasty breakfast over the fire! Scrambled eggs and sausage. There is nothing like cooking your food over a camp fire! It gives it such a unique and extremely delicious flavor!

Marlin did a little bit of fishing!

Then we headed up Tin Cup pass on the four wheelers. It was cold and rainy but so worth it!

Pretty much every time we would get on the four wheeler Little Marlin would fall asleep. Here is Marlin (daddy) holding him as he peacefully sleeps, at 12,000 feet, without a care in the world!

Little chipmunk. I wish I would have had my zoom lens on but I didn't. Oh well.

I like this picture because even though we were at 12,000 feet it shows the vastness of this wilderness. The Rocky Mountains are a crazy, rugged, and wild place. I love it!

I still have quite a few pictures to post. It just takes such a long time to edit and post. I still haven't gotten everything put back in it's place since we've come back from the trip so I feel guilty if I sit down for too long on my computer, because I know much work awaits me.
